G Is For Gone (On Vacation)

Surprise!  I've actually been gone on vacation this week!  I was able to post ahead of time so there were new things everyday, but I was busy enjoying some time on the beach (my favorite place in the world).  For the last four years, Amber and I have gone on a road trip during the spring/summer, and for the last two we have gone to Gulf Shores, Alabama.  I grew up going to the beach, and there's just something about it.  I feel like it's where I am at my best and most relaxed.   Maybe that's the way most people feel on vacation, but I think there's something special about standing on the beach looking out into the vastness of the ocean.  If I could move everyone I loved there with me, I would totally stay there forever.

 This is what we saw when we got out of the car after a really long car ride.  It was so much fun to walk out the door and onto the beach!  

 We didn't build this, but  who doesn't love a good sand Colisseum?  Just one of the awesome things about the beach!

 I'm the only one who gets up for the sunrise, but I can't help it!  I feel like part of going to the beach is trying to spend as many hours there as possible.  (Plus, I couldn't sleep anyway!)

 I have a thing about taking pictures of birds.
