1. Will you be hosting any house guests between now and the end of December? Does that thought make you happy or crazy? Do you do anything special for your guests to make them feel at home? How long should a house guest stay?
Short of a sleepover or two, I don't know that I will be hosting any official houseguests. But the idea of company is fun, at least for a day or two. However, I totally need to do some cleaning if that's the case.
2. Walter Elias Disney was born this week (December 5) back in 1905 ...what's your all time favorite Disney movie? Here's a list in case you're struggling...and yes, you have to pick one.
It's hard to pick just one, but I am going to have to go with Finding Nemo. Between Dori, the sea turtles, and the story in general, it just makes me smile.

3. What was the last thing you purchased that you realized was a mistake after the fact?
Oh, I am an impulse buyer, so this happens more than I would like to admit. I bought a pair of jeans last week that didn't fit. Good news is that it was supposed to serve as inspiration and I am wearing them right now, so maybe it wasn't that big of a mistake after all!
4. What percentage of your Christmas shopping is done online?
This year, probably about 35%. I usually do more, but I was able to get a lot of things at the local craft fair this year, so I didn't need to get as much online. I did get my dad's and my brother's stuff online though. (Really excited about my dad's gift!)

5. Amaryllis-snowdrop-poinsettia...your favorite winter blossom?
I like them all, but nothing says Christmas to me like the poinsettia. I especially like the ones that are white with swirls of pink.

6. What is one thing on your personal Christmas wish list? I think we all want peace on earth so let's make this answer an actual item.
I want pots and pans with lids that actually match. I've been making do with what I have of my grandmother's and that's been fine, but it's time to do some replacing. Hoping to pick one out at Macy's today, in fact!
7. If you could only use one word today what would it be?
Blessed. I am trying to let go of the things that I cannot control, and just relax a little more. This time of year does not always make it easy.

Today, I am going to "see" my niece for the first time via the "4D" ultrasound, and it's totally better than Christmas! I can't wait to see her little face! The only day better will be the day she is born.
Blessed - what a wonderful word!
ReplyDeleteA new little niece-how exciting! Baby girls are the best : )
ReplyDeleteI like your answer to number 7 about letting go of things you can't control. I really struggle with that but if you can it is great :) Best wishes for a relaxed and joyful Holidays Season!
