Just Super

I have had the worst heartburn/stomach issues today, so much so that I stayed home from church because I had been up since 3:00 AM.  I don't know if it's just what I ate yesterday or what, but I don't really want to have it again.  I'm feeling better now, which is nice because it's Super Bowl Sunday!

I don't really watch much NFL, so obviously I don't really care who wins.  Based solely on the human interest pieces, the QB for the Packers seems like a nice kid.  Steelers have that whole history of excellence thing going for them.  I watch because I like sporting events in general--and because I tear up when they read the Declaration, sing "America, the Beautiful" (which was amazing, Lea Michele!) and the National Anthem (which was a hot mess, Christina!), and during that segment narrated by Michael Douglas.  (Who has had me tearing up ever since the Golden Globes!)  But, to be honest, I'm pretty much watching for the commercials and because the new episode of Glee will be on after the game's over.  And you know I'm not going to miss that!

It looks like it's going to be a pretty quiet week, so I'm sure I will be posting a little more than I have been.  We are supposed to maybe get a little more snow, which I am so over at this point.  Bring on spring!  I'm ready for track season and blooming flowers...oh, and vacation, of course!

Whoever you are cheering for, I hope your team wins!

  1. UK are pretty hyped about Super Bowl as well. Beats me! I like the Packers as well, nicer colours =]

  2. I didn't know if it was a big deal in the UK or not, Rebecca! I spend more time talking about the halftime show personally.

  3. I admit I didn't watch the superbowl - but I did spend the night eating guacamole. That's kinda the same, right?

  4. Ask your doctor to test you for the H-pylori bacteria. That may be the cause of your stomach issues. It is easily treated if it is.

  5. @Sheena - AMEN!

@Megan - I think it's as close as you can get without being there!

@Kat - I think the problem was actually poor food choices along with the antibiotic I've been on. I'm feeling so much better now!
