Wednesday Hodgepodge - 6/29

1. What makes you stand to your feet and cheer?

I'm easily excitable, so lots of things.  But I love it when the underdog takes the day, in sports or in life!

2. What's your favorite patriotic song?

My first thought was The National Anthem, because I've been singing it at ballgames and other events since I was a sophomore in high school.  But my favorite is probably "America, The Beautiful."  Its words are just so poetic.

3. Do you believe that opposites attract? If you have a significant other are you opposites?

I do believe that opposites attract.  Opposite personalities tend to balance each other out, which keeps things interesting.  If you were with someone who only liked things you liked and always agreed with you, wouldn't you get bored?

4. You're going to get a behind the scenes look someplace...where would you like that someplace to be?

I think I would want to go behind the scenes at a TV show, but I'm having a hard time deciding which one!  Grey's Anatomy would get me close to Patrick Dempsey and Eric Dane, so I guess I'll go with that!

5. How far would you have to travel to ride a carousel (merry-go-round)?

Probably to an amusement park if the county fair's not in town, so three hours or so?  There may be one closer that I just don't know about.  I don't ride many carousels if you can't tell.

6. When was the last time you saw fireworks? What was the occasion? Do you enjoy fireworks?

Last 4th of July or as we refer to it, Crystal's birthday!  We usually go out to the cemetery and watch them every year, at the end of our celebration.  I promise it's a lot more fun than it sounds!

7. Of all the 'beauty products' you own, what item do you consider to be the most overpriced?

Probably my moisturizer.  It's nothing fancy, but it's probably the most expensive thing I have. Well, until I hit Sephora again!

8. I can't believe it's almost July already!  How is it that the school year can seem so slow and the summer goes by so very fast?  While I'm always ready for a new year, I'm also okay with things slowing down just a bit!

  1. Why is it that winter drags on but summer flys by... I wish I knew!

I agree, seeing the underdog take the lead is awsome!

  2. I totally put that we go to the cemetery to watch fireworks and as I was typing, I thought, "man, people are gonna think that we're THOSE people...hmm...it IS a little strange that we choose to sit THERE. Oh well, I'm typing it anyways".

  5. I could handle getting to see Patrick Dempsey and Eric Dane up close and personal ;)

We will also be having fireworks to celebrate Crystal's birthday! Happy Birthday, Crystal :)

  7. Your the second person I've read that watches fireworks from a cemetery. Interesting. I'm not sure I'd want to do that.

I'm with you...summer flies by, but I'm ok with that since I don't really like hot weather. Wish we could just have the lazy days without the heat.

    Happy 4th!

  8. Ladies, Sheena and I are real-life friends, so if she's the other person watching them in the cemetery, we're watching them together (along with all of our friends and most of the town)!

    It's a lot of fun I promise!!
