What I Really Need

I've said it before, but I live by the motto that I have better things to do than clean house.  That said, I've spent the better part of this week trying to get this poor, neglected house in order.  Some (Sheena) would say it's been neglected for most of the time I've lived here, but I will openly admit that the last six months have been pretty rough around here.

When I'm at school from eight to up to twelve hours at a time five days a week, the very last thing I want to do when I get home is clean anything.  Dusting and vacuuming makes me sneeze.  I hate doing dishes (and don't have a dishwasher).  I don't do windows.  Bluh!

So far, I'm fairly pleased with my progress.  I would have liked to have gotten a little more done, but I'm consoling myself with the idea that you can't get six months worth of dirty taken care of in five days or less.  I really admire all of you awesome bloggers who do it all, but what I'm really wishing for is a housekeeper!

  1. I just want to be allowed in your house and not go into convulsions when I come in! ;-)

I'm proud of you for cleaning.

I hear D. Dillon cleans houses, though, if you really want to pay someone to keep it up! :-)

  4. Hi Katie! I kind of found your blog by accident when I noticed a couple people visited my blog from a link on yours. That's always a fun rabbit trail to follow. i really enjoyed reading your "about me" page. You sound like a fun chick :)

Way to go on cleaning the house! I am not one of the awesome bloggers who does it all. I'm one of the bloggers who hires her mother to come help her clean. Today was the first time. She needed the cash, and I needed to make two lasagnas, a meal for tomorrow, and four pb& j's... everyone was happy. Have a great weekend!
