By the end of today, I will officially be on break. We didn't take a Spring Break because our school is getting out in early May, but we are at least getting a little extra time around Easter. And I have big plans for my days off.
It seems like most everything in my life right now is running just a little bit behind. My to-do list is piling up in a way that makes me wake up in flop sweats in the middle of the night. It's like I can feel it staring at me with its ticking clock and mounting demands. It's really kind of annoying. I mean, if I am going to have a million things to do, the least my brain can do is give me a good night's sleep, right? But instead I wake up at 3:00 thinking about work stuff and and side job stuff and just life stuff in general and it's all starting to push me just a little to close for the edge for someone with six weeks left in the semester...
What was I saying? Oh, yeah. I really need a break. I'm hoping to not just do the laundry or scrape the hairspray off the bathroom surfaces. I want to take pictures (it's supposed to be pretty this weekend), and hug on my niece, and just breathe for a minute with no other plans or intentions. And I want to especially celebrate what Easter stands for with my family.
Are any of you getting a little extra time off? Got big plans? Well, let me hear all about them in the comments! (I am hoping to have a little time over break to spend more time visiting some of your blogs too! I've gained ten followers just this week, and I haven't done a great job keeping up with everyone! But I promise I will get there!)
Sounds like a wonderful break...a little work and a little fun. Our Easter Break will start off with a quick trip to Michigan to visit some family. Home in time to spend Easter Sunday with church family and a big meal at Mom's. Then the spring break week will be spent tearing out my bathroom to update! Woohoo!! That is a source of excitement for me!! I got volunteered to stay at the house and help, while my kids will be going to Mamaw's and Papaw's where they I am sure will be spoiled.
ReplyDeleteGlad you get that break!! =D I'm getting a few days off too - and it'll be spend studying lol. And you've just gained another follower =O =D haha Happy Easter!!
ReplyDeleteI always hear about holidays by chance because I don't have kids (so no school breaks) and I work from home. But this is a reminder to take a break and do something I wouldn't normally do - something revitalizing. Now I just have to figure out what. ;)
ReplyDeleteE is also for Enjoy which is what I hope you're able to do with your time this weekend. I'm off until Tuesday too and this is my FAVORITE holiday so I am going to enjoy as well.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get some relaxation in! We are going to an Easter egg hunt Friday, scavenger hunt Saturday, and we are hosting dinner for 17 on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteYikes!
Saying "hi" as I make my way through as many A-Z blogs that I possibly can. No special plans for Easter here. Going to church as we do every Sunday anyway. Going over to my mom's to eat afterward like we always do. Well, we'll have the night free after that, so that's different. :) http://sherrilackey.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteI totally need a break as well! and lucky for me my break starts tomorrow and then I'm off for a week. hope your break is nice.

I'm one of your new followers. Let me give you some advice: pace yourself. Let go, and let God. Don't stress, and enjoy your Easter. SLEEP! It's very important for overall health. I'm off to see my daughters, and my brother, sister, and niece this weekend. I'm happy to be with family and celebrate Easter, knowing Jesus overcame death for us. Hallelujah!
