It's Okay Thursday

Its Ok Thursdays

It's time for another installment of It's Okay Thursdays.  Confession is good for the soul, my friends.  If you want to join in the fun, click the button above.

It's Okay....

  • to refuse to take your picture on School Picture Day because your face is broken out.  It's better to gamble on how things will be next month than take an ugly picture this one.  (And why can't they just use last year's picture on the teacher page anyway?)
  • to pretend your lack of depth perception is totally normal.  ("Yeah, I hit my head (arm, shin, etc.) again.  Wanna make something of it?")
  • that what may happen this weekend is of much more interest to you than anything that happens today.
  • to get a little damsel-in-distress-like when you have a flat tire.
  • to have a moment of glee when something crappy happens to someone who was unkind to you.
  • to schedule your day around your favorite TV shows.  (No DVR, no problem..)
  • that you occasionally break into song out loud instead of just in your head.
  • to be a grown woman, and still miss working with your mom.  (She's happily retired, but I've never not worked in the same building with her.)
Okay, pony up.  What do you need to be okay this week?

  1. I do the sing-out-loud thing too. The Husband sometimes gets startled because I think I sound like Kelly Clarkson. Reality? I sound like William Chung. Whatever.

And the picture from last year for teacher photos? Been there. I always take a better picture when I'm unprepared. When I do my hair and makeup and blah blah, I always look like I JUST rolled out of bed. Woof.

    Found you from Amber's linkup!

    1. Thanks for the follow! I was singing (apparently out loud) in the teacher's lounge earlier this week and a teacher in the other part thought she was losing her mind because she kept hearing me!

  2. Hey there! Stopping by from the Thursday link up...
I totally share your "gleeful" moment when an ENEMY gets what's coming to them. Not that I ever wish anything bad on someone, and I'm not sure I believe in Karma to it's fullest but there's definitely a little glimmer of joy when you hear someone nasty bit it walking up the steps at the mall. :)

Fun blog, glad I stopped by!

    1. Thanks,I'm glad you stopped by too! Yeah, I'm the same way. I don't necessarily believe in karma, but it's hard not to smile when someone gets a little of what's coming to them.

  7. I get a little damsel in distress like when it comes to car trouble of any kind. I spend a lot of time alone so singing out loud is pretty much always okay : )

    1. Car trouble is the worst. I feel so helpless because I know next to nothing.

And I am that way once I get home. I just have to remember that I can't always do it in public without freaking people out.
